Angelina Guesthouse in Key West was a bordello and gambling hall back in the '20s. Today it's a cool place to stay with lots of memories floating around.
You spend a few days in Key West hanging out with songwriters, musicians and degenerates (3 words same folks) and you're bound to string together a few words yourself. The first three lines I'll have to credit to Don Middlebrook as I heard this a few times during his set. It's a work in progress....
I wrote this song sitting on the deck of the Barefoot Bar in Gulf Shores years ago, observing life on the beach. I miss the way it was then.
